Displaceable panel for vehicle roof and sliding roof module

The opening roof (7) has a nearly flat panel (11) which fits into an aperture (3) in the fixed roof. The panel has a sealing lip (15) round the edge, and its side edges are supported by strips of foam (13) with embedded Z-section rails (25). The fixed roof has a guide frame (9) accommodating sliding blocks (33) holding the Z-section rail. The structure may support a sunshade (37).
