The butterfly valve for the throttle of the Otto engine is mounted in bearings (24) in a specially-shaped region (16) of the induction tract (14). An electric motor (12) may move the throttle valve, and is mounted on one side of the housing (10). A hose (30) carrying cooling water from the engine passes through a clip (26) on the other side of the housing. Heat is conducted into the housing from the hose.
