A row of three seats has two support brackets (30) fixed to the floor and carrying an oval section horizontal beam. Brackets carrying the backrests (20) extend upward from the beam. The gas springs act on linkages which simultaneously tip the sets (10) and the armrests (40) in an upward direction. This makes space for cargo to be stowed between the seats.
