The sanitary unit contains a toilet (2) and a wash basin (6) within a parallelepiped cabin (3) fitted with tanks (4. 5) for fresh and used water respectively. The two tanks extend the whole height of the cabin and are positioned vertically in opposite corners. Each tank has one side shaped to fit in the corner and the other (4a, 5a) fitting against the inner wall (3a) of the cabin and e.g. curved in shape. The pipes, pumps and heaters required for the operation of the cabin are also installed between outer and inner walls.
