Intelligent accelerator pedal

The assembly has a torque motor (1) provided at the center of a gas pedal (2) consisting of a accelerator pedal element (6) attached to a base unit. A sensor element detects the vehicle traveling speed before a motorist enters the highway. If the detected speed corresponds with prescribed normal value, then the motor is shut off by a controller and the damper elements (9,10) oppose actuation of pedal element.
