Control system for an electric heater
DRIVE
September 17, 2003
A control system (100) for an electric heater (HE), e.g., an electric catalyst heater (ECH), includes a current sensor (108), a voltage sensor (106), a switching element (110), and a control circuit. The control circuit (120) is coupled to the current sensor (108), the voltage sensor (106) and a control terminal of the switching element (110) and varies a control signal on the control terminal to maintain the temperature of the heating element (HE) within a predetermined temperature range.
