The device has a holder formed in one piece with the fitting or bumper (1) for a part to be mounted on the fitting by a snap connection and a push-on element with snap connection elements that can be pushed into the holder. The holder has peripherally limited opposing lugs (3) with undercuts (4) for engagement with at least one snap connection arrangement of the push-on element.
