SCANNING RADAR

A scanning radar system accurately determines the lateral position of a target regardless of the heading of the target. The angle PSI between the direction to the target and the heading of the target is calculated using equation PSI = &thetas; - tanädcos&thetas;/(R-dsin&thetas;)ü and a correction value DELTA X for the lateral position X is determined based on the angle PSI .
