Motor drive for an electronically commutated motor

The electronically commutated motor (3) controller (1) determines the current application pattern depending on a signal from a position sensor (6) for the actuator element (5). The exact current application pulse is determined by example and/or computed and applied to the motor controller. The motor has no internal rotor position sensor.
