Fuel cell and method of fabrication

Two bipolar plates (2) have reshaping areas (4) in an edge area. A sealing device fits between the plates, one of which has a sealing link (7) running parallel to the edge. The sealing link has an outer area with parallel sides and an inner connecting area at an obtuse angle. An Independent claim is also included for a method for producing a fuel cell.
