Apparatus for treating the surface of vehicles

The carriage (3) supports two side brushes (1, 6) rotating in opposite directions (4, 5), each brush being connected to the carriage in an articulated manner so that they adopt a slanting position towards the middle of the vehicle during cleaning. The brushes are designed to come into contact with the sides of the vehicle and are movable via a carriage along at least one guide (2) extending at right angles to the side of the vehicle. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle cleaning method using this device.
