Motor vehicle with multi-positional storable roof

The folding roof for a motor vehicle has a rear wing (2) movable to form a cover for a compartment (5) which receives at least part of the roof (3,4) when folded. The roof has a front section (3) and a rear section (4) which are rotatable about two respective axes. the two axes can be offset along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The roof can be semi-retracted with the rear section in the compartment.
