Safety net for separating the luggage space from the passenger compartment in a motor vehicle

The vehicle safety net assembly (10), to separate the luggage space from the passenger area, has a length of netting (11) to be pulled from a roll around a shaft. The free end of the netting is fitted with a holding rod unit (13), with fasteners (16) to lock into holders (22) at the vehicle sides. The holders each have insertion channels (23) to take the fasteners into a ratchet fit (24), where a sprung pawl (25) is in a partially closed setting between its release and locking positions. In the locked position, the pawl extends fully into the movement path of the fastener with a control path to act on the fastener. The netting holding rod has a release catch (28) to unlock the pawl.
