Openable vehicle roof

The cover (10) is supported by a cover support (12) having a first slide path (30) in which the slide carriage (36) engages by means of a first engagement element. Starting from the closed position moving the slide carriage and engagement element back opens up the rear edge of the cover. The vertical guide of the rear edge of the cover at the start of the opening movement is through the first slide path and then through the third guide (22) which is fixed on the roof.
