The upper edge of the rear windscreen unit is secured to the fold-away roof material (28) and the lower edge (36) of this unit is pivotally secured to the bodywork. An Independent claim is also included for a method for opening/closing the roof for this car, in which the roof material is folded away and pushed onto the outside surface of the rear windscreen unit and then this unit is pivoted into the passenger compartment (14) in order to ensure an essentially clear view in the rear mirror.
