Liquid filter for filtering fuel

A diesel fuel filter (10) has a housing (11) with a cup-shaped lower section (12) and a screw-fit (14) cap (13) with an outlet (21). The housing has a star-shaped filter insert (16) resting in a socket (24) with fuel inlet (17), water outlet (34) and electrical connector (33). Inside, a panel (27) separates a water trap (28) from an electrically-heated heated chamber immediately above the housing base (26). Preferred Features: The dividing panel (27) has a fluid seal between it and the cup sidewall. The panel (27) further has an anti twist-lock profile which engages with the filter insert.
