Overvoltage protection device for a power component

The device has a protection circuit connected in parallel between a collector and a gate of an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) (4). The protection circuit has a main branch (1) with two Zener diodes connected in series and a secondary branch (2) with a capacitor connected in parallel with one diode of main branch. A resistor (8) of an additional branch is connected in parallel with the capacitor.
