An electric device managing system for managing a plurality of electric devices. An example of an electric device to be managed is an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). The system comprises: a plurality of lower controllers (2, 3) associated with each of said electric devices (1) or each of groups (12) which comprise at least two electric devices; a communication network (6, 7) for connecting a plurality of said lower controllers (2, 3) with each other; and a higher controller (5) connected to said communication network (6, 7). Each of said lower controllers (2, 3) is arranged to generate connection information between each of its corresponding electric device(s) (1), and to transmit said connection information to said higher controller (5). The higher controller (5) receives and stores said connection information from each of said lower controllers (2, 3), and generates and displays a connection tree which is generated from the stored connection information.
