A hollow extension of the pinion shaft (16) includes a mounting chamber (18), into which a stop (27) seating on the drive shaft (5) is fitted. The pinion bias spring (34) is compressed between the stop and an opposite bearing surface (32). A separate insert (22) carrying the pinion, is fitted into the open end (37).
