Hybrid gas generator for airbag

The apparatus comprises a flexible tube containing a pyrotechnic charge, a pressurized gas reservoir and an electro-pyrotechnic igniter. The flexible tube contains a pyrotechnic charge and has upper(13) and lower extremities. The pressurized gas reservoir has upper and lower(30) extremities. The igniter is located inside a body(2) in the region of the extremities 13 and 30 of the flexible tube and reservoir. On functioning it initiates combustion of the pyrotechnic charge and also liberates the pressurized gas in the reservoir.
