Adjusting device (1) for the wheel brake cables (2, 3) of a foot parking brake comprises a compensating element (6) fixed in various inclined positions on a supporting part (8) via an adjusting screw (7). The compensating element is adjustably connected to a tension rod (5) via a threaded nut (11). The adjusting screw is arranged in a lateral slit (16) in the compensating element. The compensating element can be tilted to both sides of the tension rod relative to the supporting part. Preferred Features: The compensating element has a rounded rear part (20) arranged in a corresponding curved section of the supporting part.
