Power supply for vehicles with redundant generator regulation

Multiple consumers connect to a battery (5). A generator (3) charges up the battery. A regulator (1) controls a generator's voltage. In order to improve failure safety in the regulator, the regulator has a controller (2). A first switch (T1) regulates the generator's voltage. In the event of a faulty function in the first switch a second switch (T2) is triggered by the controller and takes on the function of the first switch.
