Fuel supply system for internal combustion engines

DRIVE April 9, 2003
Source
The fuel feed system, consisting of a feed pipe (1) connected by lines (3) to injectors (2) delivering fuel to the engine cylinders, has a restrictor (5) in each of the injector lines through which the fuel passes in a thin layer. The restrictors, located at the junction of the fuel pipe and injector lines and having parallel non-return valves are made e.g. in the form of rod filters and are designed to give a power loss in the fuel feed to attenuate pressure waves propagated in the fuel flow.
