This also controls a two position reduction valve (16) through which the trailer (2) brakes (9) are supplied at either of two set pressures. The trailer brakes are EBS controlled and the controllers communicate via a cable (14). When the two vehicles are coupled the trailer EBS signals to the towing vehicle EBS at which of the two set pressures it's brakes operate to control the reduction valve accordingly.",
