With the heat pump in use and the heat exchanger still wet from prior cooling, the heat exchanger temperature is set for a given required temperature (TNsoll) in the heat exchanger outlet airflow. This temperature is no greater than (TA + TO). (TA) is the measured external temperature. (TO) is an offset, which is a predetermined function of a measured air flow (mL).
