Starter drive with clutch in particular for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle

The starter has an electric motor with an axially mobile pinion (5). The coupling between the motor shaft and the pinion provides damping of mechanical shocks, using a damper disk (20) between the connection (7) to the motor shaft and the connection (8) to the pinion. The damper (20) has radial slots that engage longitudinal projections on a drive flange (17) and on a driven flange (18).
