The release mechanism can be a Bowden cable (6) running in the transverse direction of the vehicle and mechanically connected to the gas generator. A locking bolt (9) at each end of the Bowden cable moves from a locking position when the bonnet is displaced so that the connection between bonnet and vehicle body is released.",
