Industrial truck with safety belt

The seat belt has an associated belt lock sensor (7) as well as a seat occupancy sensor (8) both connected to a control unit (11) of the forklift truck to ensure the seat belt is worn each time the driver moves the vehicle by issuing warning signal if belt is not locked. The control unit can be designed so that the state and/or changes in the signals generated by the belt lock and occupancy sensors are continuously detected and evaluated in the control unit.
