A controller (18) is provided in which an independent protection controller (38) is provided in a casing (8), which casing (8) is disposed within the casing (4) for the main controller (18), such that the protection controller (38) is provided as a box within a box. This allows the casing (4) for the main controller (18) to provide extra protection to the protection controller (38) against mechanical stress and damage.
