The upper bar is fitted against the ends of the vehicle lengthwise frame members and the lower bar to the engine cradle. The upper and lower bars can be made from composition materials or extruded and folded aluminum, and at least one of them has a horizontal U-shaped cross-section with its open side towards the front of the vehicle. The frame can also be made in one piece from injection or blow-molded reinforced plastic, connected to lengthwise members by compression shock absorbers (26).
