Reinforcing cord
DRIVE
March 19, 2003
The reinforcement cord material, for pneumatic vehicle tires, comprises a core filament (1) made of a polymer material with plastic distortion, or which is shrouded by a malleable material. The core is surrounded by four to six steel filaments (2) to fill the space between the outer filaments and is squeezed by them. The core filament, or its shrouding, is made from rubber or a synthetic polymer.
