Method and arrangement for determining the position and orientation of an imaging device during the optical measuring of objects

The imaging device together with a portable navigation system (13) is brought up to an object (11) until it is in its measurement position. Signals are transmitted from the navigation system to an evaluation device (1) which determines the coordinates of the imaging device at the time an image is recorded. An Independent claim is made for arrangement for determining position and alignment of an imaging device that comprises both the imaging device and a portable navigation system.
