The table top (1) is connected to the carriage wall (4) via a two-part fastener (2,3). Inner and outer parts of the fastener are locked together via a positive coupling (5), which is released by a hand-operated actuator (6). The coupling has balls (5a), which move in a transverse bore of the inner part connected to the table top, and in an inner groove in the outer part fastened to the wall. The actuator has a stepped bolt (6a) and a cable pull (6d) engaging on the bolt.
