Cooler and process for cooling a medium

A first passageway directs a cooling medium. A second passageway (28) directs a cooled medium such that the cooled medium flows in an axial direction (80) in one region, and the cooling medium flows in a radial direction (82,84) in another region. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a medium cooling method; (b) an automotive engine assembly; and (c) a fuel tank assembly.
