The invention relates to a vehicle door (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a door box (4) having a door box outer skin (2) and a door box inner skin (3), which is connectable to a door frame (8), wherein in the assembled state a sealing element (14; 20; 25; 33) is provided in each case in the transition region (9) between the door frame (8) and a door box edge region (10, 11, 19) associated therewith of the door box (4) for sealing the transition region (9). According to the invention, a sealing element receiving housing (12; 18; 24; 28; 31; 36) is provided in the transition region (9), which has a sealing element receiving space (13; 26; 32) accessible via a receiving space opening, in which the sealing element (14; 20; 25; 33) is receivable in the assembled state. The door box edge region (10, 11, 19) or door frame region (5, 6) associated with the sealing element (14; 20; 25; 33) lies in the assembled state in a contact connection in close proximity to the sealing element (14; 20; 25; 33) received in the receiving housing (12; 18; 24; 28; 31; 36).
