The invention relates to a fastening device for a seat belt roller (3) in a motor vehicle, wherein the fastening device (7) is inserted into a cutout (8) of a body part (6) and is connected to the body part at the edge. In order to provide a fastening device for a seat belt roller (3) that permits improved fastening, it is proposed to design the cutout (8) in the body part (6) such that this cutout (8) is closed all around.
