The invention relates to a single-wheel drive unit (1), in particular for industrial trucks, consisting of a gear housing (3) with at least one gear stage, a flanged drive motor (2), and a driven wheel (9). In order to achieve the smallest possible installation space and simplified assembly and disassembly of the single-wheel drive unit (1) while simultaneously achieving high power transmission, the invention proposes that the wheel (9) be connected rotationally fixed directly to a gear wheel and that the gear wheel be rotatably mounted on a support element.
