The invention relates to a method for producing an electrode-membrane-electrode assembly on a cylindrical substrate (1), characterized in that the electrode-membrane-electrode assembly is produced by successive deposition of an electrode layer (2,3), a membrane layer (4) and an electrode layer (5,6) around said cylindrical substrate, said substrate being made of a material capable of being totally or partially eliminated during an elimination step at the end of said method. The invention also relates to an electrode-membrane-electrode assembly obtained by said method and to a low or medium power fuel cell comprising at least one such electrode-membrane-electrode assembly.
