Attachment for a vehicle exterior rear view mirror

The present invention concerns a device for fastening an exterior rear-view mirror, constituted by a housing (1) and by a base cover (2), onto a motor vehicle. Device characterized in that it is presented essentially in the form of a rear-view mirror housing support (5) secured to or integrated into the material forming a door or a body element of a motor vehicle and a means (6) for pivotally mounting the housing (1) on said support (5). The invention is more particularly applicable in the field of motor vehicles, in particular their accessories, and notably their exterior rear-view mirrors.
