Device for targeted positioning of a hand-held machine tool

A handheld device is provided for precise positioning of a handheld tool, e.g. an electric drill, in a pre-defined position working position, or for marking of a work position (52) for a handheld tool. The device comprises a hand guided support (12) for the hand tool or marking instrument with a device for measuring the position of the support relative to a fixed coordinate reference system (40). A guide device instructs the operator about positioning of the hand guided support.
