Navigation method and navigation system

A journey destination is chosen from a list via a navigation terminal (2-4,) and, when selected along with the current location, is transmitted to a remote central computer (8). One or more journey routes and corresponding times are worked out. The central computer then transmits the journey route and time to a navigation terminal. An Independent claim is also included for a system for navigating vehicles with devices like a modified mobile telephone for transmitting data to determine a position.
