The invention relates to a fuel supply system (1) which supplies a burner arrangement (8) with at least one burner (7), in particular a gas turbine (10), with fuel. The fuel supply system (1) has a control valve (3) at its inlet which, depending on its actuation, feeds fuel into the fuel supply system (1). Depending on a requested burner output, a first setpoint value for a fuel mass flow is determined, with which the burner arrangement (8) must be supplied in order to be able to provide the requested burner output. Depending on this first setpoint value of the fuel mass flow, a second setpoint value for the fuel mass flow is determined, which is fed into the fuel supply system (1) by actuation of the control valve (3). The second setpoint value of the fuel mass flow is selected such that the fuel supply system (1) supplied therewith supplies the burner arrangement (8) with the first setpoint value of the fuel mass flow.
