Parking aid for a vehicle

The vehicle (1) has a distance sensor (3) on the rear bumper. It may be a video camera, a radar set or sonar equipment. The sensor is connected to the display unit (2) in the cab by a radio link, which may enable different tractor units to be used with different trailers or semitrailers.
