Method for determining the axle load of a vehicle

The method involves using a sensor from whose signal the weight loading the vehicle axle can be derived. The sensor is connected to the vehicle axle and detects a vertical speed and/or acceleration signal, from which the axle loading (m2) can be derived using a formula involving the angular speed (w) of a vibration stimulator, the mass of the vehicle axle (m1) and the spring forces of the tires and suspension.
