The fuel tank has a filling neck (1) with a filling permitting element (3) in the form of a plain fitting inserted in the filling neck of such dimensions that it can project into the bore of a filling gun (2) of larger diameter, while one of smaller diameter is stopped by the endface of the plain fitting end sector and cannot go further in.
