The panel (4) enables one to look out from inside the vehicle and has a layer in the form of a coating and/or foil that reduces the transmission of infrared and/or visible light through the panel. The layer has electrical connections (7-10) for heating. The connections can be in the form of contact lugs and at least one solar cell (6) can be provided in the roof or module to supply current to the layer.
