"textContent": "Tread (1) for a tire having a preferred rolling direction, this tread comprising grooves (2) with general circumferential orientation delimiting ribs (30, 31, 32, 33, 35), at least one of the ribs being provided near each of its edges with a plurality of incisions with width less than 1.5 mm, these incisions opening onto the contact face being substantially parallel to each other and presenting an average inclination α non-zero with respect to the direction perpendicular to the rolling surface (S) of the tread, this tread being characterized in that, viewed in a cutting plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the tire, each incision of the same rib presents, with a perpendicular to the contact face of said rib at the point of intersection of said incision with said face, a variable inclination in the thickness of the tread, each incision being inclined with respect to said perpendicular, at its point of intersection with the rolling surface in the new state, by an angle β1, the angle β1 being greater than the angle α, and by an angle β2 at the point of the incision furthest inside the tread, the angle β2 being less than the angle α, the point of said incision furthest inside the tread being situated, with respect to said perpendicular, so as to be ahead of the point of the incision situated on the contact face of the rib.",
