The invention relates to a vehicle roof with an at least partially light-transmissive area (1) that can be covered by a sliding sunroof (5). Adjacent to the sliding sunroof (5) in its closed position is a blind (6) which, according to the invention, is displaceable essentially perpendicular to the roof. This allows the blind (6) in the closed state of the sliding sunroof (5) to lie flush with it, while on the other hand it can be displaced to provide the sliding sunroof (5) with a displacement path into its open position.
