The electrical connection (10) for a motor vehicle steering column has a stator (14) fixed to the vehicle and a rotor (12) attached to the steering column. The connection has a receiver (38) fixed to the compensator (40) and rotationally fixed to the rotor. A coding plate (88) for a steering angle measuring system is attached to the receiver.
