Independently of the output signal, a further signal ( omega comp) is determined, likewise representative of vehicle motion. Further circuits are provided to determine the offset value ( omega off4), in which the output signal ( omega ) curve, and the curve of the further signal ( omega comp) are each evaluated as function of vehicle longitudinal speed.
